Objectives

This management course aims at training students coming from general pathways and willing to acquire a professional specialisation in management and business communication.

Skills :

  • to know the stakeholders, the fields and the issues of business communication 
  • to master communication tools, methods and media 
  • to consider the different missions of the communication function in order to develop versatile skills in this field
  • to gain professional experience by doing a block release training or an internship which is proof of our will to make full-time education students become more operational and to enable practitioners in continuing education to complete their professional knowledge.

The block release training and the internship can both be completed in the private or in the public sector, in France or abroad (internships only).

The advantages of the training course

This course's added value is to be focused on organisational and managerial issues, which enables to consider communication in its stategic and global aspects (a logical sequence of change and accompanying of organisational dynamics).

  • A complete training course which enables both to acquire solid knowledge in the main management sectors (strategy, marketing, human resources management, information and communication systems, entrepreneurship...) and in the main sectors of business communication (internal, external, digital communication, events...)
  • The Graduate School of Management has more than 14 years of expertise in business and organisational communication (the training course has been created in 2004)
  • A network of more than 420 graduates
  • An innovative and professionalising pedagogical approach: communication projects to be carried out in teams, case studies, real life situations, conferences, etc.
  • 50% of lessons are given by university lecturers and researchers and 50% by professional contributors who are recognised experts in their profession
  • 20% of lessons are in English in order to prepare students to practise in an international environment
  • A block release training (internship agreement or professional training contract) which boosts occupational integration and meets the companies' demands
  • A 95% occupational integration rate 6 months after the end of the training course and at positions of responsibility (executives, supervisors)
  • The possibility of pursuing a doctoral thesis in management sciences

Skills

  • To master communication strategies and techniques 
  • To be able to identify contemporary organisational and managerial shifts (innovations) to better accompany and explain them to the audiences in the company 
  • To have a good command of oral expression and written expression techniques
  • To build up communication arguments 
  • To plan actions and build them up in a context in which time is running out 
  • To know the communication media, their areas of application, their effectiveness as well as the media and press environment 
  • To insert one's action in the framework of the general communication policy of the organisation 
  • To know the basics of the additional techniques related to communication (office equipment, printing, audiovisual media, multimedia, desktop publishing - infographics, editing, video, the web, social networks...)
  • To use information and communication technologies in order to manage one's digital communication and e-reputation 
  • To know basic notions about communication and media law (intellectual property, image right...)  
  • To coordinate a collective action which involves partners from different walks of life and cultures as a project 
  • To know the managerial aspects of team managing (recruitment, organisation, assessment...).

Organisation of the training course

  • School days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
  • Compulsory internship from 4 to 6 months 
  • Capacity: 
    • Year 1: 25 students
    • Year 2: 30 students

Conditions

  • To have a three-year Higher Education diploma or an equivalent
  • Management aptitude test:IAE Score Message, Tage-Mage, GMAT, GRE, SAT

Block Release Training and Continuing Education 

  • Candidates in continuing education (students who interrupted their studies for two years, who are employees or in individual educational leave...) are requested to contact UNICE PRO for all VAE / VAP and application requests
  • The candidates in block release training are requested to contact BUSINESS RELATIONS

Costs

The tuition fees include:

  • National fees
    All students must pay national fees.
    The amount is set each year by the Ministry in charge of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
    The exact amount of these fees is communicated by the ministry (and published on its website) in mid-July.
  • Specific fees
    The amount of specific fees depends on your registration scheme.
