This management course mainly aims at preparing students to practise professions related to management within administrative public structures or to acquire the necessary knowledge/skills to work in a company related to the public sphere.

The training course is built up around 3 fundamental elements, namely, to provide students with:

  • a substantial knowledge of the specificities of the public sphere (organisation of the sectors, specificity of the structures, etc.) 
  • a command of legal and managerial subjects applied to the public sector  
  • professional skills acquired through the confrontation to real life situations, the organisation of projects and the accomplishment of an assignment within a public structure or related to the public sphere.

At the end of the course, students will be able to join central or decentralised State services but also regional governments through a contract or a Civil service entrance examination (A category). They will also be able to join companies working within the public sphere (councils, service societies, public works companies...).

The advantages of the training course

  • This course offers the possibility to pursue one's studies for a second year with an apprenticeship contract.
  • Each year, for ten years, students organise "The territorial public management meetings". This special event which is essentially aimed at Service managers, DGAs and DGSs is co-organised by the Territorial Public Service Management Centre of the Alpes Maritimes and the National Territorial Public Service Centre. It allows students to put their lessons into practice, to take part in a debate about the news on the theme of public management and to increase their professional network. This meeting which is long-awaited by professional executives exceeeds today the limits of regional governments and the department. 


  • To have a perfect command of the communication and marketing technique in the non mercantile sphere 
  • To know the basics of a public policy's assessment 
  • To have a good knowledge of management of public policies and of public services 
  • To be able to set up and implement a project 
  • To know the basics about Human Resources in the public sector
  • To have a good knowledge of public finances; to know the basics of public markets law 
  • To be able to implement a public-private partnership.

  • School days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
  • Compulsory internship: from 4 to 6 months

    • Year 1: 15 students
    • Year 2: 20 students
