Abstract : Our study proposes a framework for modelling Circular Economy (CE) with game theory and presents theoretical analysis on its mechanism based on the framework. In general, there exist many studies conducted from a material efficiency point of view.  However, what CE is feasible or economical is a different problem. Circularity shall be realised by a stable incentive structure. To this end, we adopt game theoretic approach in order to ascertain economic mechanisms that realise circularity. Constructing a simple model within the framework, which are constituted by a parts supplier, a product manufacturer, a remanufacturer, a service provider, and end users, we present Nash equilibrium analysis with numerical simulation. It is demonstrated how cost structures affect the circularity.
