Pathophysiology of Ion Transport

Team leaders : Laurent COUNILLON et Christophe DURANTON Our research aims at providing the highest-level scientific knowledge on the mechanisms, functions and pathophysiological implications of ion channels and transporters that control key biological parameters. As such our studies encompass a wide array of questions that range from basic cellular mechanisms to the regulation of complex physiological functions. We integrate information from datasets obtained mostly through our measurements on different models (cell lines, animal models, and from patients, thanks our strong links collaboration with clinicians, mostly from the University Hospital of Nice (CHU Nice) but also from national and international consortia.
